It’s honestly kind of amazing how a new floor can transform a home. Case in point: I was working with a client who owns a small cottage in Savannah, Ga., which, if you don’t know, is a charming little coastal city with tons of cool history.
Anyway, I specifically chose an LVT floor with lighter tones – Ivory Brushed Oak from Karndean. Combined with using a lot of white on the walls, the Ivory Brushed Oak makes that tiny cottage feel bright and airy and just so much bigger. (Bonus: The client also has two dogs, so the floor makes their light-colored hair less noticeable.)
Fast, Easy Installation
Ivory Brushed Oak is from Karndean’s Korlok Select collection. Korlok LVT is unique because the pieces click and lock together, which minimizes prep work and speeds up the entire installation – who doesn’t love that? Korlok is also really great for upstairs spaces in your home, because it’s made with a backing that reduces noise to the lower floors. For all the parents out there, you can imagine how nice that is if you’ve got young kids running around the house.
Stylish New Designs
Karndean has two Korlok collections inspired by wood and stone from around the world: Korlok Select, which includes both wood- and stone-inspired designs, and Korlok Reserve, which is just wood looks. And guess what? Both collections have just been refreshed with some stunning new designs.
See what you think about a few of my faves.
Medina Weathered Oak:
Dark and warm in 48” x 7” planks – this one’s definitely got some rustic character.
Canyon Hickory:
At 56” x 9”, these planks work well in large open spaces. A light, neutral look.
Bianca Breccia Marble:
Inspired by marble sourced from the Calabria region of Italy – as beautiful as it sounds!
Like all Karndean LVT, Korlok is backed by a lifetime residential warranty. Explore the entire Korlok Select and Korlok Reserve collections for more inspiration, and remember – you can order free samples from the website, too.
